The time frame for refunds was initially advised to be 8 to 12 weeks but as this time has passed the airlines are now stretching this up to six months in some cases. We are yet to receive any Qantas refunds which is extremely frustrating. The first refund was requested mid-March so we are approaching 14 weeks.
The airlines previously processed the refunds electronically but to protect cash flow and apparently mistakes have altered the process to manual which has dramatically slowed the time taken for refunds to be paid.
If you initially accepted a credit from Qantas you may now qualify to request a refund especially if you were due to travel prior to the 24th of October. If you flight has been cancelled we can request a refund. If you are booked on a Qantas code share flight with Emirates flights may still be live so we suggest you wait prior requesting a refund now.
Please keep in mind that we are not charging cancellation fees so we are refunding your full entitlements once we have received them ourselves. Below are the latest refund conditions for the major airlines. They are changing constantly so they are correct at the time of producing this email.

Refunds taking more than 12 weeks to be paid
Generous credit up to 760 days from the date of original departure. No season surcharge.
- Singapore Airlines
Credit also provided for 12 months after the original date of ticket issue. New travel must be completed by the 31st of DEC 2021
Credit offered but must be booked by 30th of NOV and completed by the 31st of OCT 2021. Up to USD$400 credit provided to cover if fare is higher than originally purchased.
Credit being offered plus an additional 10% value. Must be rebooked prior to the 31st of DEC 20.

Credit will be provided but needs to be used within 12 months from when the new booking is made.
